The Value of Holistic Formulation

Traditional Herbal Medicine (THM) is a rich body of knowledge developed over many centuries of practical clinical experience by professionals. The World Health Organization (WHO) supports the incorporation of THM in modern healthcare.

Herbs have been used all over the world by practicing herbalists to support the body through many modalities and naturally reach homeostasis or balance in the body.

Each ingredient in each of our formulas has a purpose with no side effects, no harsh chemicals and no preservatives.

Olive oil is rich in antioxidants and has strong anti-inflammatory properties, hence why it is used as a base in many herbal formulas.

Almond oil is also rich in antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties and is used in a variety of skin care products for its nourishing and moisturizing effects.

Sunflower oil is considered a dry oil and is rich in vitamins A & E. It acts as a protective barrier, preventing moisture loss to keep your skin hydrated.

Topical application of many herbs helps to retain their bioavailability without having to go through the liver first, which is an added bonus. An example is arnica. We know it can be toxic if taken internally for any long period of time; however, when used topically it has no toxic effects at all and is frequently used for minor pain relief.

Many pharmaceuticals are derived from plants and herbs. The pharmaceutical companies isolate the chemical they deem medicinal and replicate it for mass production. In many cases, however, using whole plant medicine outweighs an isolated chemical. Our formulas are made with this same philosophy of whole plant medicine. Using whole plant herbal oils gives the formula a more synergistic effect, meaning they work better together. We use natural and organic ingredients for this exact reason, and maintain that everything you put on your body matters.  Using only quality ingredients and products is key to helping the body maintain balance and keep you healthy.
